Our Programs
The Finney County Conservation District administers state cost-share funds . Funding provided by the State Conservation Commission through appropriation from the Kansas Water Plan Fund.
Finney County conservation District's initial cost-share sign-up runs from April 16-July 15.
Water Resource Cost-Share
WRCSP provides state financial assistance to landowners for the establishment of enduring water conservation practices to protect and improve the quality of Kansas water resources. The district will cost-share at the rate of 70% of the eligible components up to a maximum landowner limit of $4,500.

- Diversion - Grade Stabilization Structure

- Livestock Water Well
- Watering Facility
- Fencing
- Range Planting/Management
- Windbreak/Shelterbelt Establishment
- Livestock Piping
- Livestock Waste Storage Facilities/Management
Non-Point Source Pollution Cost-Share
The NPS program provides state financial assistance for non-point source pollution control practices for the protection and restoration of surface and groundwater quality.
Abandoned Water Well Plugging for abandoned drilled and hand dug water wells through the process of disinfection, filling of water bearing zone and non-water bearing zone and capping the well with approved grout material, the district will cost-share on 70% of the landowner's cost up to $750.
On-site Waste Systems for the removal of failing septic systems and replacement with a new system to improve the safety of groundwater. the district will cost-share 70% of the landowner's cost up to $2,500.

​
Technical assistance is provided by Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) for the Water Resource cost-share program.
