Finney County Conservation District

One of the newest educational tools in the State of Kansas is the Earth Balloon. the Earth Balloon is a 20 foot diameter, and approximately 18 foot tall scale replica of the Earth. It is constructed of durable satin polyester and utilizes state-of-the-art satellite imagery from NASA. The Earth Balloon  was purchased with the help of Kansas NRCS and various Conservation Districts throughout Kansas. State wide, conservation districts are able to book the balloon and schedule programs. Programs can run anywhere from 20-50 minutes. Programs can also be adapted to meet specific needs and topics. The Earth Balloon is a fun, hands-on activity with the ability to cover an unlimited number of subjects.
