FCCD 4th Grade Poster Contest

Every fall the Finney County Conservation District contacts all 4th grade teachers in Finney County to schedule presentations for the current year poster contest theme. The theme is chosen by the National Association of Conservation Districts and have a focus on conservation of our natural resources. Finney County chooses a classroom winner from each class in Finney County that participates. Recently there were over 300 students in over 20 classes participate. We then choose our county 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners out of the classroom winners. The winning 1st place poster then gets sent to participate at state level. After all winners are announced and we have the results from state competition, Finney County Conservation District hosts and awards banquet for all classroom and county winners and their families. This is a great way to acknowledge all the hard work the students put into their posters. The awards banquet is made possible through local sponsors.
